Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how RuReady LLC, doing business as RuReady.fyi (“RuReady,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you visit RuReady.fyi, purchase downloadable tools from our store, subscribe to our email list, use our coaching services, or otherwise interact with our platform.

By using RuReady.fyi, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

1. Information We Collect. We collect information in the following ways:

1.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account registration: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Purchase information: name, billing address, and payment details when you buy downloadable tools from our store. Note: full payment card details are processed directly by our third-party payment processor and are not stored by RuReady.fyi.
• Email subscriptions: your email address when you subscribe to our mailing list.
• Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content when you use the Let’s Talk contact form.
• Coaching bookings: name, email address, and any information you provide when scheduling a consultation through our booking system.
• Comments: name, email address, and comment content when you leave a comment on an article.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.
• Cookies and tracking technologies: see Section 4 for full details.
• Engagement data: scroll depth, time on page, and articles read. This data is used to award RuReady Tokens under our gamification system (when active) and to improve content quality.

1.3 Information from Third Parties
• Google AdSense may collect information about your visits to RuReady.fyi and other websites to serve relevant advertisements. See Section 6 for details.
• Our payment processor may share transaction confirmation data with us.

2. How We Use Your Information. We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve RuReady.fyi and its content.
• Process purchases and deliver downloadable tools.
• Manage your account, including your RuReady Token balance and transaction history.
• Send you email communications you have subscribed to, including newsletters and content updates.
• Respond to your inquiries submitted through the contact form.
• Facilitate coaching consultations booked through our scheduling system.
• Display relevant advertising through Google AdSense.
• Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the platform.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users). If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:
• Contract performance: processing necessary to fulfill a purchase or provide services you have requested.
• Legitimate interests: analytics, security, fraud prevention, and improving our platform.
• Consent: email marketing and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: retaining records as required by applicable law.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies. RuReady.fyi uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Here is what we use and why:
4.1 Essential Cookies. These cookies are necessary for the site to function. They include login session cookies (lasting two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”), screen preference cookies (lasting one year), and WooCommerce cart and session cookies. These cookies cannot be disabled without impairing site functionality.

4.2 Functional Cookies. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for one year so you do not need to re-enter them on future visits.

4.3 Analytics and Advertising Cookies. RuReady.fyi uses Google AdSense, which places cookies on your device to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. Google may use this data across websites that display Google ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com or by using the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.

4.4 Managing Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings or the cookie consent manager on our site. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of RuReady.fyi.

5. Email Communications. We do not currently send marketing emails; however, we reserve the right to do so in the future. If we send such an email, it will include an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Transactional emails, such as purchase confirmations and account notifications, are sent regardless of marketing preferences because they are necessary to fulfill our service obligations.

We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Our emails will clearly identify RuReady.fyi as the sender and will never use deceptive subject lines.

6. How We Share Your Information. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only under the following circumstances:

6.1 Service Providers. We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we specify. Current providers include:
• Payment processing for store purchases. Authorize.net
• Email list management and delivery. This Service is not currently being offered.
• Advertising services. See Section 4.3. Google AdSense.
• Coaching consultation scheduling. Microsoft Office 365 and Calendly.
• Comment profile images. Automatic / Gravatar.
• Automated spam detection for comments. Akismet or similar.

6.2 Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, a court order, or a government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RuReady.fyi, our users, or the public.

6.3 Business Transfers. If RuReady.fyi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will provide notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6.4 No Sponsored or Affiliate Relationships. There are currently no sponsored content or affiliate relationships. RuReady.fyi displays third-party advertising via Google AdSense. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Data Retention
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
• Purchase records are retained for at least seven years for accounting and tax compliance.
• Comments and associated metadata are retained indefinitely to support moderation.
• Email subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from active lists.
• Coaching booking data is retained for seven years after services are completed.
• Token and engagement data (when the gamification system is active) is retained for the life of your account.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9). Certain data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business interests.

8. Children’s Privacy. RuReady.fyi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.

You must be 18, the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have parental consent before using this website or purchasing items. Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before creating an account or making a purchase.

9. Your Rights and Choices. Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
9.1 All Users:
• Access and update your personal information in your account settings.
• Request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at YourFriends@RuReady.fyi.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Manage cookie preferences in your browser or through our cookie consent manager.

9.2 EU and UK Users General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Right to access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal retention requirements.
• Right to restrict processing: request that we limit how we use your data.

9.3 California Users (CCPA). 9.4 Colorado Users (Colorado Privacy Act). If you are a Colorado resident, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA):
• Right to access: request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and access to that data.
• Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to deletion: request deletion of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to data portability: request a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format.
• Right to opt out of: (a) targeted advertising, (b) the sale of personal data, and (c) profiling that leads to decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

RuReady.fyi does not sell personal data. RuReady.fyi uses Google AdSense, which may engage in targeted advertising as described in Sections 4.3 and 6.1. You may opt out of targeted advertising by contacting us at YourFriends@RuReady.fyi or by using the Google Ad Settings and the Network Advertising Initiative tools referenced in Section 4.3.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at YourFriends@RuReady.fyi. We will respond within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension if reasonably necessary. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. If the appeal is denied, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at https://coag.gov/office-sections/consumer-protection/.

10. Embedded Content and Third-Party Links. Articles and pages on RuReady.fyi may include embedded content from third-party platforms (such as YouTube videos or external images). Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the third-party website directly. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interactions with their content in accordance with their privacy policies.

RuReady.fyi also includes links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10.1 AI Tools and Automated Access. RuReady.fyi content is publicly accessible and may be read, referenced, or summarized by AI-powered search and answer tools in response to user queries. We welcome this use, provided it complies with the attribution requirements outlined in our Terms of Service.

When an AI tool accesses RuReady.fyi, it may collect and process data from our site according to its own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any AI tool you use to understand how it handles data from websites it accesses. RuReady.fyi is not responsible for how third-party AI systems process, store, or represent our content.

Separately, we do not authorize the use of RuReady.fyi content to train AI or machine learning models without our consent, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

11. Coaching Services. Executive coaching services offered through Coach’s Corner are delivered by Rekha Jillella, a certified executive coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Coaching sessions are governed by a separate coaching agreement that outlines confidentiality, session terms, and professional obligations.

Information shared in coaching sessions is treated as confidential and is not used for marketing or disclosed to third parties except as required by law or professional ethical obligations. Booking information collected through our scheduling system is used solely to facilitate appointments.

12. RuReady Token System. RuReady.fyi operates a token-based engagement system that awards tokens to registered users based on time spent reading articles and other engagement activities. To run this system, we collect and store data on your reading activity, including articles read, time on page, and scroll depth. This data is linked to your account and used solely to calculate token balances and awards.

Once activated, your token balances and transaction history will be visible on your account dashboard. This data is retained for the life of your account. We do not share individual engagement data with third parties.

13. Data Security. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include secure HTTPS transmission, password hashing, and access controls for our systems.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

14. International Users. RuReady.fyi is operated in the United States. All transactions are processed in US dollars. If you access our site from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Users in the European Union or the United Kingdom should refer to Section 9.2 for information on their rights under the GDPR. By using RuReady.fyi, international users consent to the transfer and processing of their data in the United States.

RuReady.fyi does not knowingly provide services to users in jurisdictions where US law or local regulation prohibits such services.

15. Policy Changes. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice via the site or by email.

Your continued use of RuReady.fyi after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you object to any changes, you may close your account and stop using the site.
